| Well, it took me a while to update after getting back from Africa, mainly because I decided there were too many stories to write about. But I decided to try to post a couple pics This is a picture of Beatrice (12 years old) and me (with some others). I got to visit Beatrice and the home she lives in and the family that she lives with (the others in the picture). She doesn't have a family of her own, and I wanted to bring her back with me! The following day I got to run a little clinic for Beatrice and her friends (an all girls clinic), and they were so excited to play soccer. In fact, excited isn't the word. They couldn't believe that they were doing it. It was so cool to see them try so hard at everything we told them to do! I am excited to write Beatrice a letter here very soon!
The fans at our game in Gulu (Northern Uganda) surrounded the ENTIRE field and filled up the stands. The slum and fields in Nairobi. Kelsey and Amy taking a group who wanted to accept the Lord as their Savior!!
Kids chillin in the gutter.... with no one watching them...
Anyhow, these are just a few pics of the trip... there is really too much to talk about, but I just wanted to share a bit. If you ever have a chance to visit Africa.... DO IT! It's amazing! | | |
| So, I have just completed a week of training camp/Africa preparation here at Westmont. There are still a few loose ends and a team dinner at my house, and then we're off to Africa via London. If you check out the Westmont Athletics Website, there will be a "blog" of updates from our trip. Please keep us and the people we will be working with in your prayers! Thanks!

So, I must say that I was very disapointed with France in this World Cup Final. Not b/c of the way they played, but only because of how Zidane reacted. So, if you'd like to see something hilarious, check this out...

I don't know what else to say about it, except that it was way awkward....
TOPIC 2
So, we had 20 people sleep over at our house from FCA camp on Saturday night. It was so great to have people make themselves at home in our house! I am going to be sad when everyone has left! I am so glad for the blessing the Lord has given me in this house that I am in and the roommates he has given me. We had FCA Bible Study here tonight as well, so that was cool to have a whole bunch of the crew back!
